Moules Fruit and Veg

Hoxton Street market has got to be one of the most welcoming of all of London's traditional street markets. Every Saturday from 6am, the street is transformed into a bustling treasure trove of market stalls selling everything from handmade soaps to tasty snacks. Forget your Camden or Borough markets - this is the real McCoy...

The market itself was established way back in 1687, and having held a pitch there for over 100 years, Moule's Fruit and Veg is one of the oldest established stalls on the entire market.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MARKET

With a reputation for great value and fine quality fresh produce, owners Nicky and Eve are both hoping the market can draw a new generation of traders and customers to the area. Like all local street markets it's felt the impact of supermarkets and bigger stores over the past few decades, but it would be a crying shame to let such a gem of a market die off after more than 300 years of unique history.

Make sure you show you're support next time you're in the area - and pick up some of the freshest fruit and veg in town from the Moules' stall while you're there.
