A thriving craft bakery in the heart of bustling Hoxton, the family-run Anderson's Bakery is still serving up traditional bread and freshly baked cakes to the locals - just as it has done for over 160 years.

Just about everything that leaves the shop is handmade on the premises by members of the Anderson family. Colin leads the team of four full-time bakers out the back, while Linda Anderson manages the front of house and ensures the hoards of regulars don't go hungry!

With flour so obviously in the Anderson's blood, it's not surprising that the ethos of the business hasn't changed since the 19th Century. It's the family's commitment to absolute quality that has seen it thrive for generations.

And while the finished products aren't anything less than mouth-watering, the business ensures that all ingredients are both natural and healthy. For example, no animal fats are used.

As well as serving up a fabulous array of home baked goodies, the bakery offers hungry passers-by a fabulous selection of handmade rolls and salads, which can all be enjoyed on the premises thanks to the comfortable eat-in area.

Anderson's also offer a range of speciality services, including a Lyons Corner House 'Nippy'-style catering service, complete with silver service, and ideal for afternoon teas.
